4 Unique Features of Our Gatlinburg TN Restaurant 1000 667 The Peddler Steakhouse - Gatlinburg's Steakhouse Tradition

When people think about our restaurant, one of the most commonly mentioned words is tradition. When some people think of the word tradition, they think about repetitiveness that doesn’t change. However, that is not the case with The Peddler Steakhouse. We consistently change things up to keep the experience of visiting us fun and exciting. Here are 4 unique features of our Gatlinburg TN restaurant:

1. Extensive Salad Bar

Salad Bar When you visit our Gatlinburg restaurant, not only will you be treated to mouthwatering steaks, but also a scrumptious salad bar. The best part is the bar is included in the price of your entree! We offer dozens of delicious salad toppings, from fresh vegetables to steamed oysters! To top it all off, you can choose from one of our fantastic homemade dressings. As good as the salad bar is, it is just the beginning of your delicious dining experience!

2. The Peddler Tree

What better way to capture the memories of a fantastic dinner and Smoky Mountain vacation than by taking a family photo in front of our famous tree. Not only is it amazing to look at, there is also an interesting story behind it. The Dawn Redwood was once one of the most popular trees on the planet. However, they decreased in sightings after the Ice Age. In fact, they were thought at one time to be extinct. In the 1950s, a little 2-foot tree was planted in the front yard of the Ogle family. Today, that same tree stands over 80 feet tall! The Peddler Tree is just one example of the amazing history of our business.

3. Beautiful Scenery

river In addition to the delicious food, one of the main reasons people visit The Peddler Steakhouse year after year is the amazing scenery. From both our dining room and bar area, you are treated to a gorgeous view of the Little Pigeon River. We also have a large pavilion where you can sit, relax, and listen to the river while you wait for your table! The scenery of the Great Smoky Mountains is the perfect set up to a delicious steak dinner.

4. Stone Chimney

One of the most unique features of our Gatlinburg TN restaurant is the stone chimney in the middle of our dining room. The craziest fact about the chimney is that it was once used to grind corn into meal and flour! Because the building was once home to local residents, there are still remnants of things that they used to thrive in the olden days. Another example of that is the millstones that Earl Ogle collected. Two of them are still on site and are used to hold the sign up in the front of the building!

Now that you know about some of the unique features of our Gatlinburg TN restaurant, you are ready to come see the beauty of The Peddler first hand. If you have any questions about us or our menu, feel free to contact us! We hope to see you soon!
