You’re in for much more than just a scrumptious meal at The Peddler Steakhouse; the very best dining experience in the Smokies awaits you at our Gatlinburg restaurant! Several places serve up highly-reviewed meals, but none of them offer a true Smoky Mountain experience like The Peddler! As soon as you step foot on our historic grounds, you’ll be transported to a world filled with Smoky Mountain culture and specialties. Here are 4 reasons our Gatlinburg restaurant is the best dining experience in the Smokies:
1. Steak Peddlers
The star of the show at our Gatlinburg restaurant is undoubtedly the steak! This delicacy is so important to us that we bring it to your table before cooking so you can admire the quality for yourself. After you’ve returned from the salad bar, our steak peddlers will arrive at your table with a cart featuring a full loin of both the New York Strip and ribeye! If you decide you want one of these delicious options, the peddler will slice your piece of raw meat right in front of you before taking it to the kitchen to throw on the fire and cook to perfection. When the steak returns to your table it will be full of flavor, tenderness and juiciness that you can only find at The Peddler!
2. Unlimited Salad Bar
There’s no better appetizer for your steak than our salad bar! Full of the freshest ingredients and your favorite toppings, the unlimited salad bar at our Gatlinburg restaurant is included in the price of your main entree. Go through the salad bar as many times as you’d like, carefully selecting toppings of a wide variety of choices. Top it all off with one of our signature homemade dressings and enjoy. You can even choose to make this Smoky Mountain staple your main entree rather than enjoying it as an appetizer.
3. Views of the Little Pigeon River
Come for the food; stay for the incredible views of the Little Pigeon River! From both the dining room and the bar area you’ll be able to enjoy views of the flowing Little Pigeon River. Head over to our pavilion where you can take in the relaxing sounds of the river as you sit back and relax Smoky Mountain style! With unbelievable meals and scenery to match, you can’t beat the experience of dining at The Peddler.
4. Full of Smoky Mountain Tradition
The building at our Gatlinburg restaurant is the former home of Charles “Earl” Ogle, Sr., a fourth generation Gatlinburg merchant. Charles and his wife Beth built their home on the banks of the Little Pigeon River in 1958. The home was transformed into a restaurant in 1976 when it underwent a facelift. Today, this former Smoky Mountain residence is a gathering place where folks from all over come to enjoy expertly crafted meals, Smoky Mountain scenery and tradition, and most importantly, a great time!
Prepare for a dining experience unlike any other in the Smokies when you visit our Gatlinburg restaurant! Before you do, explore our menu and start thinking about what you’ll have to enjoy!
